Jose Mourinho has succeeded in getting Alexis Sanchez to sign a deal with Manchester United over a stunning January transfer, according to reports.
29-year-old Arsenal star, Alexis Sanchez, who was expected to join Manchester City to reunite with his former Barcelona boss, Pep Guardiola after a summer move broke down, is now close to agreeing a deal with Manchester United.
According to Sky Sports Italia journalist, Mario Giunta, United tabled a £25m bid for the attacker yesterday to stun their cross-city rivals, and despite scepticism surrounding the interest, United are closing in on a deal for Sanchez.
The Chilean is out of contract at the end of the season but Arsenal look set to cash in before the end of January.
Meanwhile, Chelsea star, Eden Hazard has spoken out on Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte’s spat.
The managerial counterparts have been at each others throats over the last few weeks, but Hazard insists the Chelsea players are not taking notice of the feud.
“I think it’s nothing,” he told DAZN. “Both managers, not just Mourinho and Conte, they like to speak in the media. But as a player we just focus on the pitch.
“We don’t care what happens between them. We just want to win games, that’s the most important thing in football.”
In other transfer news, Lucas Moura may also be heading to Manchester United.
The Brazilian winger is out of favour at PSG and looks likely to leave to Ligue 1 this month, and according to French outlet, Le10 Sport, United have already tabled a loan offer for Lucas.
It was learnt that Mourinho has made the proposal to the Ligue 1 side but PSG aren’t keen on the idea.
PSG are desperate to sell Lucas, who has 18 months remaining on his current contract, in a permanent deal.
Le10 Sport add that if United are willing to commit to a loan deal with an option to buy in the summer, the French outfit are keen to agree the move.
